Long-standing research tells us that listening to people most at risk and those who need public support will help create public services that are accessible for everyone. People Street, a Newham based start-up tackling exclusion and inequalities, was set up to offer local people most at risk of exclusion a platform to learn about, engage and take part in shaping the services they use.
The organisation collaborates with charities, local authorities, businesses and the NHS to ensure under-represented voices are being heard.
In support of efforts to reach grassroots communities and under-represented groups the group has created the People Panel, a living and breathing network of people from all walks of life wanting to have a say about the services they use.
Anyone who would like to join this collective voice can join the People Panel and get the opportunity to put themselves forward for research, consultation events or complete surveys. Those who do so will be reimbursed for their time in the form of shopping vouchers.
