Residents now have until September 2024 on the boroughs planning policy
The opportunity for Newham residents to have their say about the Newham Local Plan, which sets out the vision and objectives of local planning policy, has been extended to 20 September. There have already been a number of local events to highlight the plan over the summer.
Now the plan is out for comments by local people before it goes off to the government for review. The plan covers the objectives and plans for each of Newham’s neighbourhoods and is backed up by data and evidence. All of this is now up for residents to look at and to evaluate for themselves whether the ideas are sound, the vision is viable and whether they agree that it is legally appropriate.
Residents can get access to the plan and information on how they can have their say and register their opinions at newhamco-create.co.uk
