Weekend Pride Festival

Over the weekend 24-26 June Forest Gayte Pride are planning a series of events to bring a celebration of LGBTQIA+ culture to Newham.

Talks, performances and events will be taking place online and in Covid-secure venues, ensuring they are accessible for everyone. Events include on Saturday an official pride party from 6pm to 12.30am at Forest Gate Tavern, 173 Forest Lane, which will include queer cabaret and drag acts, and a DJ.

There will be also a community information hub at Woodgrange Market on Woodgrange Road during the day with information from Forest Gayte Pride, The Outside Project, Mosaic Trust, Clapton Queers, Opening Doors, Healthwatch Newham, Prep Track and more.

Further activities are planned at Forest Gate Community Garden and the Gate Library on Woodgrange Road. Full details of all the weekend events, including bookings for Positive East HIV and STI testing, and how to get tickets for the official pride party are available on the Pride 2022 website: www.forestgaytepride.com
