First of all I would like to introduce myself. My name is Prabha and I am retired now. I had a business in East Ham called East London Electronics. I am a volunteer for the Eastham Community Neighbourhood Centre. I am a community person very much interested in the environment.

I have picked up a copy of the Newham Voices in one of the coffee mornings which I attended at Central Park. One of the columns attracted me Black Lives Matter: help us get it right. I was thinking about this very much. I like that Newham Voices stands against racism in any form and also this newspaper and the website should reflect all cultures and interests in this wider community.

This is the big issue in many countries. To attract all the communities, truly, we need to address humanity. For example, in a garden there are many different colour flowers and we go there and enjoy the garden. If the garden has only one colour flower it would not give the beauty to that garden. So in the same way in the garden of Newham we are the different colours and cultures who are living here. This makes the London Borough of Newham is so beautiful instead you can see the state of Newham.

What I am saying is here we need to bring the understanding to the people that we are the same. We are all human beings sharing this Borough and mother Earth.

I hope this makes some sense and the Newham Voices will take this understanding to the people.
