‘Not bad for a Newham Boy’

Newham entrepreneur recognized for impactful work at Black Talent Awards 2024, reports Neandra Etienne.

Zakarriyah Katakyie Addae-Kodua Khalil is a finalist in the Charitable, Voluntary and Social Change category for the Black Talent Awards 2024 on October 4.

Zak works with Social Ark, a social enterprise Newham based charity that supports East London entrepreneurs. He is also the founder of Xconversation CIC, a socially conscious podcast platform. 

Life After Prison, a podcast with Zak and Jules Rowan, was announced as the winner of the Best New Presenter Award 2023.
Zak told Newham Voices: “It feels incredible to be recognised for my work, it feels amazing to be a finalist amongst great leaders and inspirational black people. I’m humbled and excited to attend the awards. Not bad for a Newham boy.”
