Bonny Downs Community Association has opened a new hub in Vicarage Lane, East Ham where its food bank, food club, family hub and debt advice services will be housed.

The building had been sitting empty for many years, and intermittently used as a night shelter. Newham Council has given Bonny Downs ‘meanwhile use’ of the building for two years.

At the opening ceremony, chief executive Sarah Laing thanked volunteers who had helped turn the WELLcome hub into a home filled with love and warmth.
