East London Phoenix players Jodie Waite and Amy Conroy have been selected to play for the Paralympics GB Women’s Wheelchair Basketball squad for the 2024 Paralympic Games. Jodie is studying for a BSc (Hons) Sport, Physical Education and Development at UEL and Amy represented Team GB in London 2012 and Rio 2016.

Gold Medal-winning Paralympian Jonathan Broom-Edwards MBE has been selected for the 2024 Paralympic Games. Jonathan (Newham and Essex Beagles Athletic Club) will be defending his Paralympic title.
