Woodgrange Road is the site of a tribute to legend Jimi Hendrix, reports Neandra Etienne

Jimi Hendrix at the Upper Cut Club is the first mural from the Colours of Forest Gate project to be installed on the wall of Mansons Pharmacy on Woodgrange Road. Jimi Hendrix’s new Newham Heritage blue plaque, which was unveiled during Newham Heritage Month in 2021, is already installed on the wall.
The mural, which was developed through a community co-design process, will include the musicians who performed at the club when it was open in the late 1960s. Newham Council has been working with Zabou, a selected artist via BUD Studio, the company commissioned to manage the co-design and installation of the mural.
