Newham Council have said their investigations tragic death of five-year-old Aalim Makial Jibril have concluded, reports Jean Gray

Newham Council has completed its investigation into the tragic death of five-year-old Aalim Makial Jibril who fell from the kitchen window of Jacobs House, a tower block in Plaistow in May.
In a statement on 13th June, the Council said their investigations have concluded but they will not fulfill their promise to make the findings public immediately because of the need to recognise the importance of the Coroner’s inquest which has yet to take place.
The statement said: “As the timetable for the Coroner’s process has now been published, with a Pre-Inquest Meeting now scheduled for the 26 June 2024, we are unable at this stage to release our full report, mindful of not pre-empting and prejudicing the due process of that investigation.”
However, they have provided Aalim’s family with a copy of the report but said they hope the family would be ‘given the time and space’ to digest the detailed findings.
