Weekend event at at The Dovetail, Stratford reports Neandra Etienne
Beckton singer, visionary and social entrepreneur Crystal Emmanuel (aka Crystxl King), founder of Beauty in the World Retreats, became involved in local community work after bookings by various youth centres. She hosted creative, music and wellness workshops during school holidays, as well as going into schools and colleges as a motivational speaker.
But when the workshops ended many young people contacted her looking for something to do. Crystal told Newham Voices: “I set up She Inspired Her CIC in 2021 so I could continue this great community work, to consistently deliver impactful workshops, events and projects for my chosen demographic, which are women of all ages and youths living, working and studying in Newham. I haven’t looked back since then!”
Swap Shop, to be held in collaboration with Luxe Swapz London, is on Saturday 25 May, 2pm-6pm.
