Saturday 17 February saw the first Newham Citizen Science Fair (NCSF) open its doors for a free, fun day of learning. The day was hosted by the Newham Institute for Interesting Stuff and supported by the University of East London (UEL) who kindly provided all participants with a free lunch and ongoing beverages.

Held at the UEL, the event was filled with hands-on activities, displays, talks and a light hearted marshmallow tower challenge. The day showcased exhibitors from Nottingham University, Akik Miah’s Inventors Club, a new app called Hiroek, and many others. It is hoped that the NCSF will become an annual event, providing citizens with a space to share their science creations with the public.
