Local author Pamela R Haynes’ books Loving The Brothers and Loving The Sisters are about domestic abuse and centre on the experiences of women working in and around the criminal justice system.

Pamela told Newham Voices: “Women’s voices are often silenced when speaking out about violence against women and girls.”

On International Women’s Day 2021 Pamela launched her award nominated podcast series Author 2 Author. She interviews authors from around the globe in all genres. Pamela said: “I am probably one of the oldest female podcasters in the world, but I am having a blast interviewing fantastic authors about their amazing books. “I have interviewed emerging writers brand new to publishing but also celebrities like Angie Le Mar, Tippa Irie, General Levy and Dorothy Koomson. I am excited to reach my 100th episode later this year.” With sponsorship from Dalgety Herbal Teas and world-wide audiences in 50 countries Author 2 Author is available on six radio stations including East London Radio and on 20 streaming platforms including Audible, Spotify and YouTube.

Season 7 of the Podcast starts in spring this year.
