The spotlight shone on Newham during this year’s TruLittle Hero Award Ceremony (TLHA), as not only was the celebration co-hosted by Dr. June Fileti, Director of Newham’s former music program Every Child a Musician (Ecam), but the night also saw two former Ecam students as nominees.

Both nominated for their writing skills, Kristabel Kuagbela of Curwin Primary School in the under 12s TruLittle Scribe Hero category and Adanya OH of Sarah Bonnell Secondary School won in the TruLittle Collaborative Group Heroes Award.

Kristabel, Adanya and Dr. June Fileti, who continues to work in Newham as the Managing Director at The International School of Musicians, posed for photos, each with a certificate, medal, gift voucher, chocolates and many new memories to take home.

The awards were founded by CEO Titi Omole in 2012.
