The new Newham blood testing clinic that opened a few weeks ago at Westfield Centre in Stratford closed down on 27 September. At the same time the Westfield Covid vaccination centre also closed and is relocating to the Mile End Hospital.
The East London NHS Foundation Trust says the existing four blood testing clinics in Newham have extended their capacity and the online booking system is quick and straightforward and means patients do not have to wait with others in a waiting room.
Although not an emergency service, there will be some slots reserved each day for urgent blood tests. For people who are unable to book using the online service they can call a helpdesk hotline: 020 8475 2199 and press option 2.
Lines are open weekdays from 9am to 3pm. The interim clinic in Westfield was opened following complaints, highlighted by Newham Voices, over the rapid introduction a year ago of an online appointments system, ending the previous walk-in service.
