Richard House Fair
The Richard House fair is a chance for the community to come together and celebrate 22 years of vital care. Over 300 families, donors, local businesses and stall holders will attend on the day. There will be a range of entertainment for adults and children, live music, delicious food stalls and a raffle.

Midsummer in the Garden
There will be a free family event in Abbey Gardens featuring gardening, crafts and games.
Everyone is encouraged to bring containers for watering (think old milk bottles and buckets, anything!), and a change of clothes – things could get wet and muddy!)

Maryland Jumble Trail
Maryland Community is organising their first ever Jumble Trail. Residents in the Maryland area set up stalls in their front gardens and sell their bric-a-brac, toys, clothes and cakes.
You simply follow the Jumble Trail map to find the resident sellers

This event is run by local volunteers. Willis Road will be closed so that everyone can enjoy the street party safely.

Artisan East
Their summer market has moved to a new venue in East Ham with accessible facilities.
There will be a range of handcrafted goods and treats including cakes and bakes and preserves.
Artisan East was set up by two local makers, to establish further trading opportunities for vintage and crafters in East London

Ensemble Festival
Certain Blacks Ensemble Festival is an explosive mix of music, art and performance.
This year’s festival is part of the Certain Blacks Heroes Programme and will feature Timeless – Joli Vyann, Lives of Clay – Clay Connection, Daryl Beeton Productions and Mimbre- Look Mum no Hands, Tara Theatres – Final Farewell, Fatt Projects – Big Gay Disco Bike and Collectif, and Then – No Man’s Land.

Queens’ Roar!
Green Street, with its vibrant culture and rich footballing heritage, is the inspiration for a series of cultural moments celebrating women, football and culture.
These include a new contemporary dance performance by Chandenie Gobardhan that will pop up in Queen’s Square across the afternoon, a special anthem (available online) co-created with local schools and women from the area with poet and artist Tyreis Holder.

The Great Get Together
Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan will join local East Londoners in lighting an Anniversary Legacy Flame next to London Stadium on Friday 22 July to mark the tenth anniversary of the start of the Games. The Great Get Together, the Park’s largest ever free annual community event, will take over the south of the Park and Stadium Island on Saturday 23 July
On the main stage there will be performances from local UD Music’s flagship group Flame Collective, up and coming BBC Introducing artists, a dance performance from the new Peaky Blinders Production, London School of Samba leading a performance and parade and lots more.
There will be dance workshops for all the family, street theatre, circus skills, storytelling from Discover Storytelling Centre, t-shirt making, flower design, face painting, roller skating, fun fair rides and more. You will also be able to get active and have a go at a range of Olympic and Paralympic sports including cycling, track races and tennis.

Birthday Fun Day
Local Charity the Magpie Project is celebrating five years of working with under-fives who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Newham and the surrounding boroughs.
There will be an entertainment tent, music, crafts, stalls, tea, cake and a BBQ.

Youth Summer Programme
Young people aged 5-12 can make friends and have fun in a safe, friendly environment led by expert coaches at the Renewal Programme.
Activities include; bath bomb making, make and paint your own bag, basket weaving, up-cycling to make summer bunting, pottery making, learn to knit and crochet, cupcake decoration and sports.

Red Door Studios Café’s free pop-up cafe opens on the last Saturday of the month.
Enjoy a tasty light lunch or choose from a selection of homemade ‘East Edge Cake Club’ cakes. Barista-made beverages will also be available.
There is music from two local DJ’s; Phil plays vintage 1930s to 1960s dance sounds (12pm-2.30pm) and Pete with a chilled mix of world sounds (2.30pm-5pm)

South Asian Heritage Month
From 18 July to 17 August there will be a celebration of the history, diversity and cultural values of people from South Asia who have made Newham their home. There will be a variety of free educational, arts and cultural events showcasing and celebrating South Asian food, literature and history.
