Friends of West Ham Park recently held a webinar in a bid to involve more local people in their campaign to prevent the Corporation of London from building homes on part of the park that was previously used as nurseries.
The Friends have put forward three alternative proposals to the Corporation of London including restoration of parkland, allotments and tiny forests, but so far have not been listened to.
Local MP Lyn Brown has written to different organisations on behalf of the Friends of West Ham Park since 2019 plans for its development were made public. All of the letters are publicly available on her website www.lynbrown.org.uk/ .
A soft market testing has been undertaken by Saville’s, the outcome of which will determine the planning permission process which could start in Spring this year.
