Forest Gayte Pride Weekend | 13-15 August 2021

Forest Gayte Pride invite you to join them for a weekend of events from Friday 13—15 August 2021.

The itinerary for the weekend will be:

Friday 13 August | Gala Opening, The Gate Library, 6-10pm

Featuring keynote speakers Andrew Lumsden (GLF) and Aisha Shaibu (UK Black Pride/Moonlight Experiences) discussing the history and future of Pride.

Saturday 14 August | Community Information Hub, Woodgrange Market and Cranmer Road Arches, 11am-6pm

LGBTQIA+ organisations including The Outside Project, ParaPride, G(ender)Swap and Opening Doors, will be sharing advice and information, and interacting with members of the local community who would not otherwise have access to these resources.

Community health services will be present, including Positive East who will also be offering free HIV and STI testing.

Music and speakers will be at the Marketplace throughout the afternoon.

Quiet and Sober Space, Forest Gate Community Garden, 11am-6pm

Hosted by the Forest Gate Community Garden and The Outside Project.

LGBTQIA+ Community Workshops, The Gate Library, 10am-4pm.

Workshops for and by the LGBTQIA+ community Including Positive East and Sex and Rage.

The Official Pride Party, The Holly Tree Pub, 6pm-12.30am

A celebration of LGBTQIA+ culture including Crystal Lubrikunt hosting an extravagant Queer Cabaret, Drag Bingo, and iconic DJ duo Lavender Nights.

Sunday 15 August | Post Pride Brunch, Tracks, 11am-6pm
