Jazanne Arts, a group that specialises in working with older people and those living with dementia, is planning to stage its musical Exchanging Dreams at venues around London this summer.
Exchanging Dreams is an interactive musical show that uses reminiscence, drama, music and dance to explore the relationship between two friends from their childhood to their older age. The show is fully funded by Arts Council England and so is available for free to organisations who would like to book a performance. To get in touch, email: info@jazannearts.co.uk
Jazanne Arts provides a range of reminiscence workshops and arts activities in the community, in care homes and day centres with the aim of giving a voice to older people, to support their artistic work and enable ‘successful ageing’.
Co-Director Jacqui Livingston has lived in Newham all her life. The group is currently working with Stratford Circus and local older people’s drama group Age Well on a project called ‘Meeting Places’. This project uses drama, and improvisation to explore going out after lockdown.
